Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 27 October 2026
1. These terms
These terms cover the Chaos HUD app for Windows and its licence ("Chaos HUD"). By buying a licence, installing or using Chaos HUD you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it. "We", "us" and "our" means Chaos Creations (Cpt. Ch405); "you" means the person whose Twitch account the licence is for.
2. What Chaos HUD is
Chaos HUD is an app that shows your Twitch chat, alerts, ad break timings, viewer count, polls and similar on your own screen, over whatever you're playing. If you switch it on, it can also put parts of that on your stream through a browser source in your streaming software. Features may change over time; we'll never take away something you've paid for in the middle of a billing period without offering a fair alternative or a refund for that period.
3. Your licence
- A licence is for one Twitch channel: the Twitch account Chaos HUD signs in with. You can use it on your own PCs, including a second PC you stream from.
- You may not share, sell, rent or pass on Chaos HUD or your licence, or copy, decompile, change or get round its licence check.
- Chaos HUD and everything in it (the app, its name, logo, design and sounds) belong to us. Buying a licence lets you use it; it doesn't transfer any of that to you.
4. Your account and Twitch
- You sign in with your Twitch account. You must be at least 18, or have the permission of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms for you.
- When you sign in, Chaos HUD asks Twitch to let it read your chat, follows, subscriptions, bits, channel point redeems, ad schedule, polls, predictions and hype trains. It only uses them to show them to you. You can remove its access at any time in your Twitch settings under Connections, but it won't work until you sign in again.
- Each time it starts, Chaos HUD checks with us that your channel has a licence. It needs an internet connection for that. If it can't reach us, a licence it has already checked keeps working for a few days.
- You're responsible for your own channel and what your stream shows, and for following Twitch's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Chaos HUD isn't made, endorsed or sponsored by Twitch.
5. Price, payment and renewal
- Chaos HUD is a subscription. You can pay monthly or yearly; the prices are shown in euros on the buy page and at checkout. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
- Both plans start with a free trial. You give your card when you sign up but aren't charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel during it without paying anything. When the trial ends, your chosen plan, monthly or yearly, is charged.
- It renews automatically at the end of each period, each month or each year, until you cancel.
- If we ever change the price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you.
- If a payment fails, Stripe will retry it for a few days. If it still can't be taken, Chaos HUD stops opening until it's paid. Your settings stay on your PC.
6. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time from Billing on the Chaos HUD page. Your licence keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, then stops. The details of refunds, including the free trial and the EU 14-day right of withdrawal, are on the refund policy page, which forms part of these terms.
7. Free licences
We sometimes give a free licence, for example to testers. A free licence can have an end date, and we can take it back at any time.
8. Fair use
Please don't try to break, overload or get round Chaos HUD or its licence check, or use it for anything other than your own stream. We may end a licence that does, and in serious cases without notice or refund.
9. Availability
We work hard to keep Chaos HUD working, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of faults. It relies on Twitch, Stripe, Windows, our server and your own setup, which are outside our control. A change on Twitch's side can stop a feature working until we update the app.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or knock-on losses such as lost income, lost viewers or disruption to your stream. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 30 days before the event that caused it. Nothing in these terms limits any liability or consumer right that can't be limited by law.
11. Ending your licence
You can stop using Chaos HUD at any time: cancel, then uninstall it from Settings > Apps. If you'd like what we hold about you deleted, email us. We may end licences that break these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change matters, we'll show it on this site before it takes effect. Carrying on using Chaos HUD after that means you accept the new terms.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Disputes go to the Portuguese courts, without affecting any consumer protection rights you have under the law of the country you live in.
